FHT-254 is an environmentally friendly Generation-III blowing agent, a cleaning agent and a film solvent.  It can also be used as a raw material for the synthesis other materials.  Presently, sales of FHT-254 in North America are limited to research purposes.

FHT-254A is a blend of nominally 95.5/4.5 wt % FHT-254/HFC-227.  Its bubbling point is consistent with HCFC-141b.

FHT-254B is a blend of nominally 92/8 wt % FHT-254/HFC-227.  Its bubbling point is consistent with CFC-11.
